Iran & Israel

Two major countries in our modern middle east today.  Currently, for the last 46 years, Iran has been a bully and under satanic leadership.  Often chanting death to Israel and death to America, because of our often sole support of the nation of Israel.  They became a theocracy in 1979 as they overthrew the Shah (the worlds oldest monarchy).  However, the big picture of Iran is this.  These two countries go way back and began actually as friends.  Iran was Persia and when God led Israel into 70 years of captivity in Babylon, the very day of the 70th year, Persia, a new rising power, overthrew Babylon in one day!  They under Gods mighty hand, was a tool to releasing the Jews under King Darius.  Israel's prime minister today has spoken of this new relationship that has shaped them thru history.  It would be a few decades later, King Artaxerxes would give the command & decree to restore and rebuild Jerusalem and its walls.  Persia has always been a somewhat friend to Israel up until 1979.  The Ayatollah has been a disaster.  Yet now, it may seem a brighter day has dawned in the nation of Iran.  The prince Shah is forming a new government for Iran and one who gives freedom to all its citizens.  I dont believe this thwarts the biblical prophecies one bit, but actually could prove them even greater in years to come.  It appears, that the prophecy in Ezek 38 requires a nation Israel at peace and no need of walls.  That will never happen so long as Iran's satanic reign is in place.  The largest growth in the church today is in Iran.  Many are coming to Jesus!  That will effect a nation.
