Who Are These 24 Elders?
Revelation 4:4 Around the throne were twenty-four thrones, and on the thrones I saw twenty-four elders sitting, clothed in white robes; and they had crowns of gold on their heads.
These 24 Elders sit on thrones around the throne of God. They are not being worshiped but worshiping the LORD. They are given white robes and a crown. Some have thought them to be angelic beings yet that just doesn't make sense. For chapter 5 will give us more insight to a new song they sing. I believe them to be the entirety of believers, both old testament and new testament believers. They do represent the church in heaven. Also, what this tells me is, we are looking into us and our actions in the future. We will be these 24 Elders. We will be worshiping our LORD for all eternity.
