Sneaking thru the Backdoor

1 Kings 2:15 Then he said, “You know that the kingdom was mine, and all Israel had set their expectations on me, that I should reign. However, the kingdom has been turned over, and has become my brother’s; for it was his from the LORD. 16 Now I ask one petition of you; do not deny me.”And she said to him, “Say it.”
17 Then he said, “Please speak to King Solomon, for he will not refuse you, that he may give me Abishag the Shunammite as wife.”

Sounds harmless huh?  Adonijah understands the kingdom was given to Solomon by the LORD.  He makes a last ditch backdoor effort to steal it, this is crazy, knowing its not his.  He wants Bathsheba to give him Abishag the Shunammite as his wife?  This is the equivalent as taking the throne.  She was Davids wife, but never physically taken by David.  She is also the wife Solomon spoke of in his Songs of Solomon.  This would be a server blow to Solomon, and asking his mom of all people.  The devil sure is stupid.  Yet, if we are not connected with the LORD, we don't catch these plans.  Is the enemy taking a back door with you at all?  If your not on guard, he will.

Sometimes the back door is unlocked. This gives the enemy easy access into my house(my life). So far I've remembered in time to lock the door before the enemy gets in. But I have to be diligent to always lock the door. Jesus is the lock on the door.

Using your anology, our peace it totally dependent on our security. Unlocked doors anywhere, will never allow peace. A simple window open in an attic, not secure. We must keep and stay in Gods word, then we are secure against all threats. We are only as strong as our weakest link.
