Be On Alert Always Christian

1 Kings 2:18 So Bathsheba said, “Very well, I will speak for you to the king.”

This was Bathsheba's initial response to Adonijah about Abishag being given to him as wife.  Sounds harmless right?  She already knew Solomon was taking the throne.  Yet, she is not alone in these seemingly harmless traps set for the believer.  As I already covered, this would have derailed Solomon as the next king of Judah.  The small foxes spoil the vine ya'll.  I have witnessed so many great Christians, my own experiences as well, totally disregard the small details of Gods word and living it.  Most of the time, its just a lack of not knowing His word or being alert.  Living here, we are always on high alert.  We must take every thought captive and measure it up to the word of God.  What does Gods word have to say about that?  I'm not faulting Bathsheba, I'm identifying with her in this error, dont be quick to go with the flow of the world.  We will always get burned every time.  Its okay to say, well, let me pray about my involvement with that.  Or, give me a time to seek Gods direction on this.  Obviously, God hadn't spoken to her before this and until she got the word, she should not fully commit.  Now, God does give confirmations to us by others and by all means, fully commit if thats the case.  The confusing grey areas, well, seek God.
