Jesus Holds & Walks with You

Revelation 2:1 “To the angel of the church of Ephesus write,‘These things says He who holds the seven stars in His right hand, who walks in the midst of the seven golden lampstands:

This church will keep doing what it learned to do but leave the God who lead them in the first place to newness of life.  Their greatest need was to see this revelation of Christ.  I love how our LORD will go straight to the root of our greatest need.  He showed Ephesus that He holds them in His right hand of blessing and walks in this church.  Though they don't see Him anymore due to their own error, His light is ready to shine bright again.  I know in this world, I often leave or walk away from the very source that keeps me alive, Jesus, yet He never walks away from me.  He is one call away! I only need to see my Savior again.  I only need to be reminded that He holds me and has never let go.  If you have ever left Jesus, for any period of time, any reason, know this, He will never leave you.  Later in the body of this text He gives us 3 simple actions to do to get back on track. How I'm prone to leave the God I love!  Lord forgive me in those seasons.  You never leave!

Yes, prone to wander and forget the One I love. It would seem impossible to wander away from the One who created us, and then sacrificed His only begotten Son to redeem us; and yet that is the very temptation we succumb to so easily. This is another reason we desperately need to stay in the Word and keep our focus on the Lord. A lighthouse can warn of danger, but is useless if the light is incorrectly aligned or sending an erroneous message to ships in danger. That's us if our Bible is neglected and dusty. I pray the Lord will keep reminding us to focus on Him, and that we will respond with love and joy in His presence.
