Israel is the Vineyard of the LORD
Isaiah 5:7 For the vineyard of the LORD of hosts is the house of Israel
Both the vineyard and the fig tree are national symbols for Israel. The LORD tells us the vineyard is Israel. This is a very important chapter speaking about what the LORD has done for His vineyard. There is nothing else He could of done for it but it produced wild grapes. Their fruit was not of the LORD. The LORD desires fruit. Fruit isn't produced by our actions but by living in Christ. Spiritual fruit is a natural byproduct of being connected to the Vine. I never have to sweat producing fruit, I only need to trust in my LORD and let Him live through me. Day by day, I become more like Him.
