Benefits of the Cross

Luke 23:44 Now it was about the sixth hour, and there was darkness over all the earth until the ninth hour. 45 Then the sun was darkened, and the veil of the temple was torn in two. 46 And when Jesus had cried out with a loud voice, He said, “Father, ‘into Your hands I commit My spirit.’ ” Having said this, He breathed His last.

There are a couple overall benefits of the Cross of Christ. The first is that God judged all of humanities sin upon Jesus. He that knew no sin became sin for us that we might become the righteousness of God. We often talk about the judgment of Gods wrath upon a Christ rejecting world yet in the future. However, what we need to major on is the full wrath of God upon Jesus for our sins. We had zero chance to heaven without Jesus' sacrifice. We have the great benefit of never being judged by God if we receive Jesus Christ personally.
The second goes along with the first. It is the fact that our debt is paid in full. God the Father gave it His all for you as He gave of His Son, Jesus Christ. We have a fully paid reservation to heaven. I absolutely love fully paid reservations. All you have to do is show up and claim it. God tore the veil that separated Him from man from top to bottom. This is called relationship. From bottom to top would be religion.
