The End is Near

Matthew 24:32“Now learn this parable from the fig tree: When its branch has already become tender and puts forth leaves, you know that summer is near. 33 So you also, when you see all these things, know that it is near—at the doors! 34 Assuredly, I say to you, this generation will by no means pass away till all these things take place. 35 Heaven and earth will pass away, but My words will by no means pass away.

This could be a prophecy of the nation of Israel.  In 1948, God allowed & gathered His people Israel back into the land.  Thus, it is said the generation that witnesses this, will not pass until the LORD returns.  I don't disagree with this, yet I do believe the message is a little more simple.  The generation that sees these previous things wont die before the coming of the LORD.  The frequency & intensity will increase greatly.  Basically, this period will go quick.  Now, Jesus said, heaven & earth will pass away but His words will never pass or die or be void!  Many bank on many things, swear by many things, yet this world is coming to an end.  Even the heavens will be shaken, but Gods word will never fall void.  Everything God says will take place.  God said that those who believe in Jesus will have eternal life.  Those who believe in His resurrection will also rise.  Gods words are sure!

Yes! Jesus simply using the budding of the fig tree to illustrate a point about his second coming. A call to pay attention of God's word that reminds us of God's righteousness. He have the authority to judge for those who do not pursue a righteous life. Repentance is necessary, and it is possible with God's grace. He is merciful and will grants us time to change and bear fruits. That's why we need to be busy while waiting for him. We need to be fruitful as Christian. "The fruit of the righteous is a tree of life; And he that winneth souls is wise." Proverbs 11:30.
