How is this Love?
John 11:5 Now Jesus loved Martha and her sister and Lazarus. 6 So, when He heard that he was sick, He stayed two more days in the place where He was. 7 Then after this He said to the disciples, “Let us go to Judea again.”
Did anyone else catch this? Jesus loved them yet chose not to move quickly here. In fact, He stays two more days where He is plus travel time. We can often be taken back by Jesus' regard for our time frames of importance. We are limited but He is limitless! What catches us by surprise and time is running out, God is outside of time and He is all powerful. I mean, what problem that we can have is really impossible for God even if death is our problem? He is the Resurrection & the Life! Jesus is all compassion even when it seems not so. Again, every once of our faulty theology of God will be tested and shaken and what will result is God glorified every time. Why are you putting restraints upon God as if your plan is best? If your plan isn't working out well, that is just further evidence your plan is weak. God will come through on time every time and this is a grind in my flesh. In fact that is what He is doing in us. Burning out the dross and bringing out the precious metal in us.

Forged in the fire, but He is with us in the fire, in the hammering and pressing, and in the purifying. We never need to be alone, for He promised to never leave nor forsake those who trust in Him. Thankful.
