Revelation of What or Who?

Revelation 1:1 The Revelation of Jesus Christ, which God gave Him to show His servants—things which must shortly take place. And He sent and signified it by His angel to His servant John,

In many of the charismatic churches I grew up in, I often heard the pastor refer to the last book of the bible as Revelations!  This is a huge difference.  The book is actually Revelation.  Its the revelation of the LORD Jesus Christ!  Now, there makes up many revelations but all of them come through our LORD.  John was given this glorious vision while banished to the island of Patmos of the Glorified Christ!  This book is all about Him.  What amazing moments John had with his LORD years after Jesus' death, burial, & resurrection.  What amazing sights John saw of Jesus, victorious over death.  What memories had to flood his heart & soul about the time they spent together those 3 yrs.  How wonderful to see Jesus again.  Its been a year since we visited Israel.  A life changing experience doesn't give it justice.  The experiences we had with our LORD while there, the deep emotional ties tugging our hearts, the heart opening experiences our LORD shared with us!  I do see why Chuck Smith, and many others, would visit Israel yearly.  The only place our LORD actually decided to live while on earth.  Now, rewind to John, I don't think words could describe the joy our brother had when given this Revelation of Jesus.  LORD, let me see You today.  Let me experience You today.  Let me be in the place of Your presence today.

Yes, there's only one Revelation of Jesus! 😉

nAnd I'm very ready to go back to Israel. Such a wonderful place to be. To walk on the roads He walked on. Being baptized in the Jordan where He chose to be baptized. So amazing! And one day soon we will actually get to be WITH Him! What a glorious Day! 😊
