Lessons of the Cursed Fig Tree on Tuesday
The day before, Jesus came across a fig tree loaded with green leaves. He was hungry but found no figs. He cursed it and left. All of His disciples, well, speechless. Now, they travel past it and it has withered! Mark 11:20 Now in the morning, as they passed by, they saw the fig tree dried up from the roots. 21 And Peter, remembering, said to Him, “Rabbi, look! The fig tree which You cursed has withered away.” Jesus then gives a teaching on faith. A teaching that is quite challenging to me also. One, I have lots of room to grow in. He says this, Mark 11:22 So Jesus answered and said to them, “Have faith in God. 23 For assuredly, I say to you, whoever says to this mountain, ‘Be removed and be cast into the sea,’ and does not doubt in his heart, but believes that those things he says will be done, he will have whatever he says. 24 Therefore I say to you, whatever things you ask when you pray, believe that you receive them, and you will have them.
I believe I have a good measure of faith but to move mountains and cast them into the sea? I cant wait to shed this old tent that has doubt toward my LORD. I'm sure glad Jesus then clarified, whatever things you ask, believe you will receive them and you will. I will work on that mountain thing but until then, Im growing day by day building my faith. Its been 29 years, Jesus has been faithful in my life and I have sought to be faithful to Him. LORD, forgive my unbelief. LORD help me to believe. The religious leaders were green leaves. They should have bore fruit but when God came face to face with them, they had none. There is no time for religious living. We must experience Christ now and our fruit will be abundant on our branches.

When LIFE hits my face in a daily basis, I look up and ask Christ to help me. God is faithful to send his messenger to help me see the light of Christ again. I DID! After resisting it, I see the light again! PRAISE GOD FOR A FAITHFUL SERVANT AND MESSENGER HE SENT MY WAY. God’s timing is perfect!

n'”I am the light of the world. Whoever follows me will not walk in darkness, but will have the light of life.'" John 8:12.
n
nSo many times in my life that I cannot see Christ’s light anymore. At that time I don’t know what to believe and doubts are creeping in, but God’s timing is perfect! He knows that I am in need to see his light and mercy again. He sent me his MESSENGER just in time in the middle of my doubts and lack of understanding. I asked him to help me with my unbelief. “…….Lord, I believe; help thou mine unbelief.” Mark 9:24.
n
nI focus on the Lord Jesus Christ’s face. His light is powerful! “And the light shines in the darkness, and the darkness did not comprehend it.” John 1:5
n
n“For it is the God who commanded light to shine out of darkness, who has shone in our hearts to give the light of the knowledge of the glory of God in the face of Jesus Christ.” 2 Corinthians 4:6.

nAMEN! I AM BLESSED! GLORY TO GOD ALMIGHTY!

Amen. I love your variety of scriptures. Gods word is our comfort in a world that is so unstable. Keep your eyes and heart upon Jesus Christ.
