God Open My Eyes

Revelation 3:17 Because you say, ‘I am rich, have become wealthy, and have need of nothing’—and do not know that you are wretched, miserable, poor, blind, and naked— 18 I counsel you to buy from Me gold refined in the fire, that you may be rich; and white garments, that you may be clothed, that the shame of your nakedness may not be revealed; and anoint your eyes with eye salve, that you may see.

Its really amazing how easily deceived we can be about ourselves. We fail to measure ourselves by just weights. We are trained to build our resumes and never ever confess any flaws. Yet it takes the LORD & His word to reveal the truth. Never in order to condemn us or to tare us down but in order for us to actually be made whole. We see our depravity coupled with the revelation of the goodness of God and it leads us into the path of righteousness. We find our completion in Jesus. We are nothing, have nothing, create nothing but He is everything. And when we come to Jesus, we will lack nothing just so long as we remain in Jesus. The Bread of Life is pictured as the Manna from heaven. Daily they must gather but never over gather in order to be lazy the next day and eat yesterdays heavenly food. Today we must come to Jesus and partake.
