Godliness is a Supernatural Process
Psalm 1:3 He shall be like a tree planted by the rivers of water, That brings forth its fruit in its season, Whose leaf also shall not wither; And whatever he does shall prosper.
This is a description of those who walk after Jesus & His word. Our Christian growth has little to do with our will power but everything to do with the Spirit who leads us. Our works become His works. Our desires in this life are replaced by His. God plants us in the Living Waters of God. It is impossible to not grow. We will bear fruit in the season God brings it about. I have never seen a fruit tree sweat and be pressured to produce fruit. Some Christians make their faith more complicated than they should. Just be connected to Jesus, and you will produce godly fruit, that I have no doubt. We are the branches and He is the Vine. How are you connected to Jesus today?

In this life there will be times that we find ourselves planted in rocky, desert places. Even in those tough places, Jesus continues to feed and water us through His Word and the Holy Spirit within us. In those times, He will grow us just like the desert rose or an abundant fruit tree. Not because of our works or goodness, but because of His love and faithfulness.❤️
Amen. Lord, finish the work You began in us. We are His worksmenship, His poem. Everything of us bringing Him glory.
