Thankful for the Gospel of Christ

Romans 1:1 Paul, a bondservant of Jesus Christ, called to be an apostle, separated to the gospel of God 2 which He promised before through His prophets in the Holy Scriptures, 3 concerning His Son Jesus Christ our Lord, who was born of the seed of David according to the flesh, 4 and declared to be the Son of God with power according to the Spirit of holiness, by the resurrection from the dead.

Jesus is the gospel message.  He isnt just the beginning of the conversation, He is the whole thing.  What does the gospel mean?  Well it means literally the good news.  What is so good you ask?  I believe you must first begin with the reality of the bad news that effects every person on the planet.  We are all born sinners heading to hell due to our father Adam in the flesh.  We can never go to spend eternity in heaven on the coarse we naturally are on.  No good deeds, no money, no elite favoritism's can get us there.  Since the beginning of sin however, God promised His Son to come and be a sacrifice for our sins so those who would put their faith and trust upon Jesus Christ, would not perish but have eternal life.  All of the Word of God is about One Man, Jesus Christ, who was promised to come. Well, He came and He died for us and He rose again.  The good news is that we can now make heaven our home.  We can now walk with God.  We can now have fellowship with a loving Father.  The gospel is all about Jesus Christ.
