Do You Desire God to Wash You Clean?
Psalm 51:1 Have mercy upon me, O God,According to Your loving kindness; According to the multitude of Your tender mercies, Blot out my transgressions. 2 Wash me thoroughly from my iniquity, And cleanse me from my sin.
This is a good amount of time after Davids sin and God sending the prophet Nathan to him. David, you are that man! Yet David seems to be over this guilt and shame. He misses the sweet fellowship he once had and no longer enjoys. God doesn't enjoy separation from man. The LORD says in Isaiah that its our sin that gets in the way. The good news is, the LORD is able and willing to wash us of all sin. There is no other cleansing than from the LORD. The great news is, we all have forgiveness for our sins through the blood of Jesus. If you repent of your sin, if you confess it, the LORD is faithful and just to forgive us of our sins.
