The End Times Church
Luke 13:18 Then He said, “What is the kingdom of God like? And to what shall I compare it? 19 It is like a mustard seed, which a man took and put in his garden; and it grew and became a large tree, and the birds of the air nested in its branches.”
Jesus is describing what the end times church will look like. It becomes so vastly different than what Jesus set it in motion to be. It has not only surpassed Jesus Christ, it has kicked Him out all together and replaced Him with evil men. The church is to reflect Christ. It has mutated into this large structure allowing everything ungodly into its fold.
I really do believe we are living in this corrupt apostate church age now however I do understand it will get even worse. There are all's sorts of evil doctrines that are anti Christ in nature. Many churches are Christian in name only. We have churches that seek church growth over spiritual growth by the Holy Spirit. I can tell you, the mail I get about how to increase our church numbers and grow the church is vast. It all centers around money! There are churches that are not led by the Spirit but seek artificial intelligence for guidance. For some churches, gone is the day when Jesus is allowed to prune His church. They wont allow it!
Great news is this, no church needs to follow this pattern and many churches are faithful. The key to this text is to be aware and remain with Christ.
