Is Jesus willing?
Matthew 8:1 When He had come down from the mountain, great multitudes followed Him. 2 And behold, a leper came and worshiped Him, saying, “Lord, if You are willing, You can make me clean.”
3 Then Jesus put out His hand and touched him, saying, “I am willing; be cleansed.” Immediately his leprosy was cleansed.
Would'nt you say Jesus is the most famous Man ever to live? Would you assume He is so busy, He has no time to listen or even act upon your problems? Maybe you feel, He doesn't even know you exist. These thoughts are all legitimate for any man or woman on the planet except Jesus! This leper built up enough boldness to come and worship Jesus. This wasn't the hip thing to do. This leper would never get away with these actions on any of the religious establishment. A leper couldn't even come close, Did this leper initiate this encounter or did Jesus? I believe, the Holy Spirit moved upon him as He did me. What he says is very telling? If you are willing. If or maybe by chance? He still doesn't understand the heart and nature of God. God doesn't hold back any good thing from those who seek Him. God isn't putting some hurt or life threatening disease into our life. He is the answer however. I cant chastise this leper because I to am like this leper at times. Maybe LORD, You can answer this question of mine, or heal this particular person, or on and on I go. This only proves that I have a long way to go in knowing my Savior, Jesus Christ. Oh, I know and have experienced Him many of times, yet on EVER occasion and opportunity is a new chance to experience the greatness of my God! LORD, You are willing to meet every need I have, big or small. Thank You LORD for Your compassion.
