Give Jesus All Your Heart

1 Samuel 12:20 Then Samuel said to the people, “Do not fear. You have done all this wickedness; yet do not turn aside from following the Lord, but serve the Lord with all your heart.

The greatest commandment is to love the LORD our God with all our heart, mind, soul, & strength.  God wants all our hearts, not just a part.  Half hearted people wont work out for God.  Would you think be half hearted with your spouse would work out?  Of course not, that's why divorce is so very high.  Marriage is a 100 / 100 covenant.  Even more, our lives given to Jesus.  We all have room to improve, and never really give Him as much as we think, however, as much as I know is 100% of me, Im giving to my LORD.  We wouldnt expect half hearted work from those we hire, we don't want half hearted relationships, we wouldn't want half a paycheck so why do we give God half heartedness?

Lukewarm Christians or spouses are just opening themselves up for failure. Love wholeheartedly and serve wholeheartedly. Then we are truly living in the abundance of the love and mercy Jesus showed us.

This verse reminds us that even though we walk away from God, He is always ready to forgive us and restore us if we turn back to Him. No matter how far we may have strayed if we have repentance in our hearts and be faithful to God, He is willing to forgive us. His LOVE covers it all.

n“Love the Lord our God with ALL our hearts, mind, soul and strength.” One of God’s commandments. Not half and half.

n A marriage will not survive if the LOVE is not reciprocated by the other half. Most of the time a wondering eyes gives a person a path to distraction. A person that is not satisfied of God’s blessings, will never have JOY in his hearts. He will not find satisfaction and happiness because they are not appreciative of what they have.
