Paul used his opportunities wisely. He got three weeks, maybe only three saturdays, to expound the scriptures. They became well versed on end time events and the hope of Jesus' coming. The Rapture, Jesus coming to take His church to be with Him in heaven, was in their understanding, soon. They got schooled on the great tribulation and this figure called the antichrist. But what's cool is this, Paul didn't focus on those things, he taught them Jesus being the Christ and His resurrection. I know, just from my own conversion experience, I didn't seek out those topics, they just get covered as I studied about, learned of, partook of Jesus! I discovered quickly His promises of His soon return for His church and it just kept coming up. Some christians just focus on end times events, I have no problem with that at all so long as the center of that is Jesus and His words. I'm not into end times just for end times sake. We see the signs of the times because our Jesus said how it would be and look like. I don't need to read the headline news and make it fit my Bible. My Bible tells me what I will read in the news as His day approaches. I'm simply saying this, the closer I am to Jesus, the greater my hope is in His promises soon coming! Come LORD Jesus, come!
We have been given everything we need in Christ. In accordance with His immeasurable love, He gave a detailed outline of what is to come, and the glorious promise of His return to snatch His church away and take us to be with Him for eternity. Difficult for my brain to grasp, but my heart understands and fills with joy!💖
Just as an interesting insight, this Sunday we will be in Mark 13, discussing end time events leading up to Christs 2nd coming. We will focus on Jesus, His words, and the other stuff comes into focus and makes complete sense. Tune into this fascinating study.
I'm looking forward to it....as always!! ❤️
