Jesus Is God

John 1:1 In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God. 2 He was in the beginning with God. 3 All things were made through Him, and without Him nothing was made that was made. 

The beginning of time as we have it.  Not the beginning of God.  In Genesis 1:1, God made time space & matter.  God is outside of time.  However long time goes to zero, Jesus was there.  The Father, Son, & Holy Spirit.  Jesus is the Word.  Thus, Jesus was in the beginning, Jesus was with the Father, meaning Jesus is equal in nature as the Father and not an angel or created being, & Jesus was and is God.  Not a god, as the Jehovah's witnesses assert.  
All things that were created and made came through Jesus.  Genesis 1-2 all made by Jesus! Jesus made everything!  
So, Jesus the Son of God, the Word of God, Creator God, is a pretty big deal.  No man can come to the Father except thru the Son.  We know the Father because of Jesus.  Im just amazed that God chose to come to earth and become a man, walked with us, then died for us.  Rose again the 3rd day so we can have eternal life.  Countless people actually talked to God face to face, heart to heart, He actually embraced hurting people, went out of His way to meet folks, ate and slept in the same home of some.  I long for this day again when Jesus is before me literally.  LORD, may we be Your hands and feet, Your voice and smile today as we travel.  May You arrange our schedule.
